About this deal

The next Super Blue Moon after Aug. 30, 2023 will be in January 2037, followed by another one in March 2037, according to NASA. When is the next supermoon? Moon square Mars 2:38 AM, Moon square Sun 3:49 AM, Moon enters Pisces 7:29 AM, Moon conjunct Saturn 8:44 AM, Sun sextile Pluto 2:26 PM, Mercury trine Chiron 8:08 PM, Moon sextile Jupiter 9:19 PM.

Moon trine Venus 10:54 AM, Moon square Neptune 2:29 PM, Moon oppose Mercury 6:03 PM, Moon enters Cancer 11:53 PM. When the moon is in its full phase, it is passing behind the Earth with respect the sun and can pass through Earth's shadow, creating a lunar eclipse. When the moon is fully inside the Earth's shadow, we see a total lunar eclipse. At other times, the moon only partially passes through the Earth's shadow in what is known as a partial, or even penumbral lunar eclipse (when the moon only skirts through the outermost region of Earth's shadow). The phases of the moon are a consequence of its motion around Earth in relation to the geometry assumed with respect to the sun. To better understand how it works, let us, first of all, remember that the moon does not emit its own light but reflects that of the sun and partly that reflected by the Earth–phenomenon of ashen light. Not all Blue Moons are supermoons like the full moon of Aug. 30, however. See the moon phases, and the difference between a waxing and waning crescent or gibbous moon, in this Space.com infographic about the lunar cycle each month. See the full infographic. A supermoon occurs when a full moon falls during a period when the moon is closer to Earth. This happens because the moon's orbit around our planet isn't circular, but rather elliptical like a flattened circle or an oval. That means there are times in the moon's orbit when it is farther away — at apogee— and times when it is closer— at perigee. The distance between Earth and the moon during perigee and apogee ranges from around 220,000 miles (350,000 kilometers) to 253,000 miles (408,000 km), a difference of around 14%. What is We'Moon? A poetry and art journal? An inspirational day planner? An ever-renewing collection of creative feminist work that thousands of women look forward to every year! Will this Moon be bigger and more “super?”

Mercury conjunct Uranus 2:27 AM MST, Mars enters Sagittarius 3:14 AM, Moon square Pluto 10:40 AM, Moon enters Taurus 1:28 PM, Moon sextile Saturn 2:59 PM. Our submission process is always open. Any work we receive that is sent by August 1st will be considered for our upcoming edition (think 2-years-out). Late submissions will be held over for consideration for the following year. Small honorariums will be given for each published piece. The dollar amount will depend on size and placement. Saturday, November 18: We could feel like we need two of ourselves, spinning with last-minute chores, errands, and responsibilities to others—just when we’d like a moment alone to process some existential angst as Mercury semi-squares Pluto. Know that everybody else we bump into may feel the same. Staying organized can be a task, use lists and other prompts to save time and sanity. Because the moon's orbit around the Earth is tilted, it does not line up with Earth's shadow every month and we do not have a lunar eclipse each month. Solar eclipses of 2023The rare hybrid solar eclipse on April 20 wasboth an annular "ring of fire" solar eclipse and a transition into a total solar eclipse briefly over some parts of Earth. The annular effect was visible for just a few seconds in the Indian and Pacific oceans and isn't visible anywhere on land. A total eclipse was only be visible in three locations on land, Exmouth, Western Australia, Timor Leste and West Papua. Each piece of art and writing is circulated at Selection Circles where hundreds of women give us their opinions about the submitted works. If you are interested in joining a virtual Selection Circle, sign up for alerts via our newsletter. Our jury process is quite complicated which makes following the submission guidelines important! This version sparks the most curiosity . . . Why would anybody want an unbound, loose-leaf book?! Well, let me tell you: The mood settles down over the weekend; home projects can direct activity and further connections as the Moon enters earthy Taurus. There could be a delay to wrestle with, but it may contain a hidden benefit. We could also gain a fresh perspective on real differences between the generations as Mars squares Saturn; we can be curious, and by not censoring, we can deepen our mutual understanding. Despite this disparity in Earth-moon distance, there isn't a huge difference in how the moon actually looks in the sky during a standard full moon and during a supermoon. The moon may appear slightly larger and brighter during a supermoon, but this will be imperceptible to anyone except those skywatchers who have significant experience observing the moon. When is the next Super Blue Moon?
